Because not everything in life is about coding, FPGAs, engineering or work, in my free time I enjoy myself by playing the guitar and doing some amateur photography.

Music

When I was 17 years old, I was dying to have a guitar just so I could learn how to play “Lago En El Cielo” by Gustavo Cerati. That was my only goal, and at the time I didn’t know how to play a single chord. Fortunately, my grandmother had an old Spanish guitar at her house that she had bought for visitors but never learned to play herself. I asked her to give it to me as a present, and she did. The only problem was that the guitar was in terrible condition, it had very high action, old strings, and the wood was starting to crack. To make matters worse, it was 1400 km away from my house, and the gig bag didn’t protect it at all during the trip. So when it arrived, it was in even worse shape. But I used that guitar for five years, and it took me less than a year to learn how to play “Lago En El Cielo” reasonably well. After that, I was able to buy my first 12-string acoustic guitar, an Epiphone DR-212, and that guitar became my signature instrument, and an extension of my soul. I was able to participate in a few bands, mostly playing covers of Soda Stereo and Gustavo Cerati. I also created a YouTube channel with covers I’ve recorded from just a couple of weeks after getting my first guitar up until now. Here are a couple of them:

Photography

After graduating from university, I used one of my first salaries to buy my first camera, a Nikon D3500 that I still keep to this day. The only problem is that I underestimated how much time it takes to edit RAW photos in Lightroom, so I now have four years of accumulated pictures waiting to be edited. But here are some of the photos I’ve taken and edited so far:
